Kashmir

Synopsis & Author Comment: For years, Kashmir has been the poitical plaything of India and Pakistan. Yet as a land of unsurpassed beauty, intrigue, and wonder, it continues to call to travelers. I was there for a week, experiencing curfews and blackouts, witnessing crackdowns, and watching the tracer bullets fly during an evening bout of gunfire. There's no destination in the world I'd rather see again.
